FUNDRAISING CODE OF ETHICS |

This code of ethics is a statement of shared values to which all members of the staff, the President’s Council of Advisors and the Board of Trustees of Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc. are committed. Persons involved in raising funds on behalf of Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc. shall: 1. Be committed to the mission of Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc. and ensure that needed financial resources are vigorously and ethically sought for the advancement of that mission.
2. Treat all persons with the utmost dignity and respect, valuing the privacy, freedom of choice and interests of each donor.
3. Act with integrity, fairness, honesty and truthfulness in all relationships and activities.
4. Ensure that all fundraising materials are accurate and correctly reflect the mission of Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc.
5. Avoid actual and perceived conflicts of interest.
6. Ensure that contributions are used for the purposes designated by the donor.
7. Comply with the spirit and letter of all applicable laws and regulations affecting fundraising.
8. Ensure that the organization’s donor list is maintained for its sole use and is not sold, loaned, or traded in any way.
9. Ensure that all donations are handled with respect and confidentiality and in conformity with the highest standards of accounting and reporting.
