The 2005 RDU Interline Golf Classic

Highlights of 2004 26th Anniversary RDU Interline Classic

The following information was submitted by Bob Pinney about the 2005 Plans/Activities

"Follow up message since my last on Sept 9th, 2004.  Normally I'd be working on the 2005 application form etc., but since tournament is moved back this year still have some time...  just wanted to remind everyone of the 2005 dates-Sept. 14 - Sept. 16.

Please note change in DAYS of the week this year:   Wed, Thurs, and Fri.  This should be helpful in both getting here and leaving on Saturday compared to trying to non rev on Sunday as in past years.

Courses for 2005 are.         BAYONET at Puppy Creek, Raeford, NC
                                                           (http://www.bayonetgolf.com/)
Country Club of Whispering Pines, Whispering Pines , NC
                                                (http://www.whisperingpinesnc.com/)   (River Course - West)

Wed Sept 14th                    Practice round at either course
(Mini tournament on Pine Course - East and assuming Kathy Hannah will
handle this best ball tournament as in past (max of 68)

Thurs Sept 15th               Tournament at Bayonet .. max of 136 players

Fri Sept 16th                     Tournament at Whispering Pines .. max of 136 players

As stated in memo of Sept 9th,  I am working with Bayonet rep to arrange lunch
after our play on Thursday just across the road from the golf course.  From comments
most enjoyed the lunch at Foxfire last year that we were able to include in our entry fee.

Also I will try to work with whatever rental car agency I can get the best deal with
to include airports from RDU, GSO and see if I can get CLT added as well in case CLT would be better for some.

Please note also that due to fact we will ALL be on one course each day, the max of
players will be 68 per day or grand total of 132.  Any entry form received after this
number of players is assigned will be returned.

The Holiday Inn has agreed to blocking up to 70 rooms until  Aug 24th at rate of $63.00 plus taxes which is just $1.00 over last years rate.

Since I only have email addresses for about 75% of all golfers, please pass this info
onto your playing partners and I will try to get word to those via US mail in near future.

Looking forward to 2005 tournament, hope you are as well.  I expect to be mailing out entry forms by end of March

Have a great summer all, see you in SEPT."  - Bob Pinney
