2002 RDU Golf Classic
Once again it's time to invite you to attend the RDU GOLF CLASSIC 2002, our 24th annual event! This year's play will be held at Foxfire Resort-CC and the long awaited return to Hyland Hills GC. Click for: rate details, entry form.
Our first entry fee increase in six years will be necessary to cover a much higher green/cart fee for the three day tournament itself. However, those playing in the Captain's Choice best ball tournament will see a decrease from last year. Avis wanted an increase as well, however Thrifty has agreed to rates comparable to those of the past years. (see rate details) No increases to hotel rates or guest fee's.
As last year, men who are 62 as of July 31 can play from the Senior tees at Hyland and Foxfire. (Hyland: white/6155, senior/5745, ladies/4677. Foxfire: white/6333, senior/5574, ladies/5208.

June 30 is the deadline for applications. If you wish to follow another group, please indicate on your entry form. No coolers allowed. Beverages and snacks will be sold by the courses.
A practice round is part of your entry fee and can be played at either course. Calling for a tee time is suggested, phone numbers are: Hyland Hills - 888-315-2296 or 910-692-3752, Foxfire - 910-295-4563. The tournament round will be held on the Red or west course at Foxfire. Tee times before noon at Hyland Hills will require each golfer to pay $6.00 plus practice stub.
A mini "best ball" tournament will be held at the Hyland Hills GC on Thursday, Aug. 1 with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. A maximum of 64 golfers will be allowed in this event. For those wishing to play in this event, one must use their practice round stub and pay an additional $21. Note entry form.

6:30 a.m. Breakfast bar opens 8 a.m. First round of golf (shotgun start at 8:30). Turn in score cards immediately. Evening Open night, have fun, be ready for Saturday. |

6:30 a.m. Breakfast bar opens 8 a.m. 2nd round of golf (shotgun start at 8:30). Turn in score cards immediately. 6-7 p.m. Social Hour-tell everyone about that great round of golf you almost had!! 7-9 p.m. Pig Pickin', followed by Awards, Etc.
