RDU Interline Classic

The RDU CLASSIC became involved with Boys and Girls Homes in 1987. The tournament has contributed generously to the work of Boys and Girls Homes. The original foursome of employees of Eastern Air Lines participating in the tournament included Bill McCauley, Bill Coghill, Ira Thomas, and Howard Jones. This year's tourney was a "classic" event featuring many previous participants as well as newcomers. Golfers from all across the USA participated in this year's event and it appears all had a great time. Boys and Girls Homes appreciates the support given through the RDU Interline Classic and to all who participated in it. We are especially grateful for the efforts of Chairman Bob Pinney and Secretary Treasurer Sue Pinney for the untold hours they put into the tournament success. Other members of the tournament committee include: Bill McCauley/retired, Bill Coghill/retired, Kathy Hannah/Captain's Choice/par 3 prizes/non-golfer gifts, Don Badger/USAir, Al Yelverton/Delta, Jo Roudabush/par 3 and Ernie Hoyle/retired. Special thanks to Jim McKenzie for contributing the grand raffle prize - a full set of clubs and bag!
