North Carolina Lions

Lions Cottage In 1960 the North Carolina Lions Cottage was dedicated on the Lake Waccamaw Campus of Boys Homes of North Carolina, Inc.  Inspired Lions from across the state provided funds to build the second cottage on what today has become a nine-cottage campus.  From the beginning, North Carolina Lions have been strong supporters of the young people residing in the cottage that bears the Lions name.  North Carolina Lions make individual member and club contributions, and take part in refurbishing and replacing items for the cottage when needed.  They also enjoy visiting with the children of the cottage on occasional off campus trips.  As an answer to the challenge of insuring that Lions Cottage will be available to serve children in perpetuity, Lions make donations to support the daily operating costs of the cottage and are building an endowment fund whose earnings will assist in the operating cost of the cottage.

Boys and Girls Homes appreciates the generosity of North Carolina Lions in purchasing this twelve passenger van for use by Lions Cottage and the children of Boys and Girls Homes.  Civic Club Coordinator Tom Lamont offers a thumbs up for the van and the difference it will make in meeting the transportation needs of our campus.
