General Driving Directions:

From Wilmington, NC--leave Wilmington on Hwy. 74-76 west.  Travel approximately 38 miles to the "Lake Waccamaw-Boys and Girls Homes" turnoff (Chauncey Town Rd.).  Turn left.  Country Store and Exhibition Center turnoff is approximately 3/10 mile on the right.  Soccer Field can be reached by continuing along Chauncey Town Rd. and turning right on Sam Potts Hwy., approximately 1/10 mile on the right.  Boys and Girls Homes is located directly across Sam Potts Hwy.  To reach Flemington Hall, cross Sam Potts Hwy. to Flemington Drive, approximately  2/10 mile on the right at the corner of Flemington Drive and Rube McCray Circle.  Lake Waccamaw can be seen at the end of the street.  (Approximately 45 minutes travel time.)

From Raleigh, NC--leave Raleigh traveling east on Interstate 40.  Travel approximately 30 miles to Interstate 95.  Take I-95 south exit (328A).  Travel approximately 60 miles to U.S. 74 exit (Exit 14) in Lumberton.  After exiting, turn left onto 74 east toward Wilmington.  Travel approximately 40 miles to the "Lake Waccamaw-Boys and Girls Homes" turnoff (Chauncey Town Rd.). Turn right.  Country Store and Exhibition Center turnoff is approximately 3/10 mile on the right.  Soccer Field can be reached by continuing along Chauncey Town Rd. and turning right on Sam Potts Hwy., approximately 1/10 mile on the right.  Boys and Girls Homes is located directly across Sam Potts Hwy.  To reach Flemington Hall, cross Sam Potts Hwy. to Flemington Drive, approximately  2/10 mile on the right at the corner of Flemington Drive and Rube McCray Circle.  Lake Waccamaw can be seen at the end of the street.  (Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes travel time.)

Note:  some may prefer to exit I-95 onto Hwy. 87 south (Exit 46) in Fayetteville rather than traveling down to U.S. 74 in Lumberton.  If so, exit right onto 87 south (Exit 46).  Follow 87 south to Tar Heel.  In Tar Heel, turn right onto Hwy. 131.  Follow 131 through Bladenboro toward Whiteville.  Hwy. 131 ends at U.S. 701.  Turn right onto 701 south.  Follow 701 south approximately 5 miles toward Whiteville.  Just before Whiteville, 701 splits into business and bypass.  Follow bypass 701 south.  The U.S. 74-76 overpass crosses 701 bypass.  Exit left on 74-76 east toward Wilmington at the overpass.  Boys and Girls Homes is approximately 10 miles east of Whiteville.  Turn right at the "Lake Waccamaw-Boys and Girls Homes" turnoff (Chauncey Town Rd.). Country Store and Exhibition Center turnoff is approximately 3/10 mile on the right.  Soccer Field can be reached by continuing along Chauncey Town Rd. and turning right on Sam Potts Hwy., approximately 1/10 mile on the right.  Boys and Girls Homes is located directly across Sam Potts Hwy.  To reach Flemington Hall, cross Sam Potts Hwy. to Flemington Drive, approximately  2/10 mile on the right at the corner of Flemington Drive and Rube McCray Circle.  Lake Waccamaw can be seen at the end of the street. 

From Charlotte, NC--Leave Charlotte traveling east on Hwy. 74 toward Rockingham- Lumberton-Whiteville-Lake Waccamaw-Wilmington.  Lake Waccamaw is approximately 10 miles east of Whiteville.  Turn right at the "Lake Waccamaw-Boys and Girls Homes" turnoff (Chauncey Town Rd.).  Country Store and Exhibition Center turnoff is approximately 3/10 mile on the right.  Soccer Field can be reached by continuing along Chauncey Town Rd. and turning right on Sam Potts Hwy., approximately 2/10 mile on the right.  Boys and Girls Homes is located directly across Sam Potts Hwy.  To reach Flemington Hall, cross Sam Potts Hwy. to Flemington Drive, approximately  2/10 mile on the right at the corner of Flemington Drive and Rube McCray Circle.  Lake Waccamaw can be seen at the end of the street.  (Approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes travel time.)

From Greensboro, NC--Leave Greensboro traveling south on Hwy. 220 toward Rockingham.  Follow Hwy. 220 south to the U.S. 74 bypass in Rockingham.  Exit onto U.S. 74 east toward Laurinburg-Lumberton-Whiteville-Lake Waccamaw-Wilmington.  Lake Waccamaw is approximately 10 miles east of Whiteville.  Turn right at the "Lake Waccamaw-Boys and Girls Homes" turnoff (Chauncey Town Rd.).  Country Store and Exhibition Center turnoff is approximately 3/10 mile on the right.  Soccer Field can be reached by continuing along Chauncey Town Rd. and turning right on Sam Potts Hwy., approximately 2/10 mile on the right.  Boys and Girls Homes is located directly across Sam Potts Hwy.  To reach Flemington Hall, cross Sam Potts Hwy. to Flemington Drive, approximately  2/10 mile on the right at the corner of Flemington Drive and Rube McCray Circle.  Lake Waccamaw can be seen at the end of the street. From Asheville, NC--Leave Asheville on I-26 east toward Columbia, SC.  In Columbia, exit onto I-20 east toward Florence, SC.  In Florence, exit I-20 onto I-95 north.  Follow I-95 north to Lumberton, NC.  In Lumberton, exit right onto U.S. 74 east toward Whiteville-Lake Waccamaw-Wilmington.  Lake Waccamaw is approximately 10 miles east of Whiteville.  Turn right at the "Lake Waccamaw-Boys and Girls Homes" turnoff (Chauncey Town Rd.).  Country Store and Exhibition Center turnoff is approximately 3/10 mile on the right.  Soccer Field can be reached by continuing along Chauncey Town Rd. and turning right on Sam Potts Hwy., approximately 2/10 mile on the right.  Boys and Girls Homes is located directly across Sam Potts Hwy.  To reach Flemington Hall, cross Sam Potts Hwy. to Flemington Drive, approximately  2/10 mile on the right at the corner of Flemington Drive and Rube McCray Circle.  Lake Waccamaw can be seen at the end of the street. From Rocky Mount, NC--leave Rocky Mount traveling south on Interstate 95.   Travel south to Lumberton.  In Lumberton, take U.S. 74 exit.  After exiting, turn left onto 74 east toward Wilmington.  Travel approximately 40 miles to the "Lake Waccamaw-Boys and Girls Homes" turnoff (Chauncey Town Rd.). Turn right.  Country Store and Exhibition Center turnoff is approximately 3/10 mile on the right.  Soccer Field can be reached by continuing along Chauncey Town Rd. and turning right on Sam Potts Hwy., approximately 2/10 mile on the right.  Boys and Girls Homes is located directly across Sam Potts Hwy.  To reach Flemington Hall, cross Sam Potts Hwy. to Flemington Drive, approximately  2/10 mile on the right at the corner of Flemington Drive and Rube McCray Circle.  Lake Waccamaw can be seen at the end of the street. (Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes travel time.)
